Train hits obstruction on the line between York and Northallerton

LNER says that there are delays on the main line between York and Northallerton after reports that a train has hit what is described as an obstruction.

There are also reports of animals on the high speed tracks carrying services between Scotland and London

Disruption is now reported to have ended and the line is clear
