The YorkMix Choice awards are back for 2025 and once again hundreds of local businesses are asking for your vote to help them reach the shortlist!
Well announce the winners on Thursday 23rd October at the Milner Hotel but before then we need to whittle down the entries to find out finalists, and that’s where your votes count.
Sponsored by York St John University, the awards aims to celebrate businesses in our area that are making a difference.
It’s a unique event as there are no judges – all the finalists and winners are all chosen by you!
- Voting will open for the first round on Monday 15 September 2025 and run until Friday 10th October 2025 at 23:59
- Businesses are free to canvas for votes however they see fit. Competitions, till receipt adverts, mailing lists and social media posts are all acceptable.
- The voting system will restrict the number of votes per IP address over a time period in order to prevent abuse any suspicious voting is flagged and investigated.
- York Sound Limited reserves the right to reject and suspicious voting.
- One set of votes, per round per person, validated by email addresses.
- In each category, five businesses will move through to the second round, based upon the number of votes received. The finalists will be announced on Monday 13th October 2025.
- Voting for the second round of voting will run from the 13th October 2025 and close 21:59:00 on Wednesday 22nd October 2025.
- Winners will be announced at the live final on 23rd October 2025.
