A senior officer from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue has tweeted about his frustration that people are still ignoring road closed signs and getting stranded in flood water.
The latest incident at Cattal involved THREE cars where the drivers had followed each other into the flood caused by the Nidd bursting its banks
Group Manager Bob Hoskins said: “Can I remind people the Fire Service DO NOT recover people’s cars”
While he was there a further three cars drove past the fire appliances and into the water!.
