Selby community centre to host ‘truly special’ first ever fireworks display

A community centre in Selby is set to host its inaugural fireworks event next month.

Staynor Hall Community Centre is thrilled to announce its first ever Community Fireworks Display on Wednesday 5 November – promising an unforgettable evening of entertainment, food, and a dazzling fireworks finale for local residents.

The event will take place at Staynor Hall Community Centre & Primary School, with gates opening at 5pm.

This year’s event is proudly supported by YorkMix, Selby College, and Excelsior Builders, whose continued partnership helps make the display possible. It will be hosted by YorkMix‘s David Green and Laura Castle.

The team has been working alongside the award-winning display specialists ‘The Fireworkers’, who will deliver a spectacular fireworks show set to music, guaranteed to wow the crowd.

The chair of Staynor Hall Community Centre Trust, Ben Anderson said: “The Staynor Hall Fireworks Display is set to be our biggest event to date, as a charity run centre it really shows the strength of our team to put something like this together.

“We’re incredibly grateful to our partners YorkMix Radio, Selby College, and Excelsior Builders for their support, and we’re really excited to be working with The Fireworkers to create something truly special for local residents.”

This year’s event will be open exclusively to Staynor Hall residents. Entry is ticket only and can be purchased online here.
