This was the moment (main picture) police tracked down a van full of suspected stolen property that had made off from Harrogate.
Minutes later, a police drone located a man hiding in a nearby garden, and he was arrested.
At about midnight last night, officers received information about a Ford Transit van in suspicious circumstances outside a Harrogate shopping centre, with a report of suspects loading boxes into it.
Just before 12.30am, specialist Roads Policing officers located the van in the Pool in Wharfedale area.
The driver failed to stop, and drove off at high speed, going through red traffic lights.
After a pursuit, the van was abandoned on Halton Moor Avenue, in Leeds.
A police drone was deployed and a 23-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of failing to stop, dangerous driving, shop theft, burglary and possession of cocaine.
He remains in custody at this time.
There was a large amount of suspected stolen property in the back of the van, thought to be from a number of shops. It has all been recovered, and the van has been seized for forensic examination.
