A woman has died after being found unresponsive on a riverside footpath.
Ambulance crews were called to the path on Fulford Ings, near the River Ouse, on Saturday morning by a member of the public.
Paramedics then called in North Yorkshire Police at about 8.25am.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Sadly the woman, who was aged in her 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
“Police do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
