Thieves steal 300 litres of oil from a village hall

Oil has been stolen from Rufforth Village Hall.

York Police are appealing for information about the theft that at the building on Wetherby Road.

Between 10pm and 11.20pm, on 23 September, a white car entered the village hall car park. The male driver took fuel cans to an oil tank and filled them up before driving away.

The vehicle returned at about 11.20pm and the same thing happened again.

When it left, the car turned right out of the village hall, towards the roundabout that leads to the A1237 and the B1224.

About 300 litres of oil were stolen.
