North Yorkshire Police searching for a missing man have found a body, they said tonight (Friday).
Officers were looking for Adam Perkins, 24, when the discovery was made in the Great Ayton area.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Police searching for missing Adam Perkins from Sheffield have sadly found the body of a man.
“Officers searching in the Great Ayton area found the body earlier this evening.
“Although he has not been formally identified, Adam’s family have been informed.
“Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal.”
Mr Perkins was believed to be on a camping trip in North Yorkshire. He left his Sheffield home on Monday at 8pm.
