Police called after fire started deliberately in Selby

Firefighters were called to a fire in Selby late last night (Friday).

A crew went to the incident on Scott Road at 11.33pm.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “This was a small rubbish fire that the crew extinguished using a hose reel jet.

“Police were notified of this incident as it was believed to have been started deliberately.”
