Firefighters are good at rescuing people. From fires. Wrecked cars. And, er, handcuffs…
That’s what happened in Eastfield, Scarborough at 2.35pm today (Friday).
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from Filey responded to a property to release a person after some theatrical handcuffs got stuck with no keys available.
“The crew used small tools and bolt croppers and the person was released unharmed.”
There’s no explanation as to why they were in the handcuffs. Must have been for a play. Mustn’t it?
