Fiona, tell us why you chose to become a volunteer fundraiser for York Rescue Boat?
The river can be a dangerous place, there is a lot of activity on the river and I thought this was a brilliant charity to get involved in. It’s a worthy cause to spread the word about a very needed charity in York.
What would you say to people who may want to volunteer too?
Everybody at York Rescue Boat is like a big family, they are a great bunch to work with and I just love going out and meeting new people. Seeing the enthusiasm you get back from people talking about the charity, I have so much pride – come and join us!
