Police have been called in after things got heated over flags in a North Yorkshire village.
Officers say they responded to an incident that occurred at about 8.25am on Wednesday (15 October) between Belgrave Terrace and Mowbray Place in Sowerby, near Thirsk.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “An altercation has taken place between two males and an allegation of threats made due to the removal of flags from lampposts at the location.
“One of the males is described as wearing dark work trousers covered in paint, a blue fleece and a Union Jack bobble hat.”
They’re asking people to contact them if they know about what happened or the men involved.
