James Arthur is set to play two huge shows in Yorkshire next summer, it’s been announced today.
The multi-platinum singer-songwriter behind global anthems ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ and ‘Impossible’ will return to Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Friday 3 July and will be making his debut at The Piece Hall, Halifax, on Saturday 4 July.
Fans can expect two unforgettable nights of classic hits and exciting new material.
Tickets for both shows will go on general sale at 10am on Friday 24 October via Ticketmaster.
James Arthur first burst onto the music scene in 2012 as the winner of ITV’s The X Factor and has since cemented his status as one of the UK’s most successful male solo artists.
The Middlesbrough-born singer-songwriter has amassed more than 15 billion streams worldwide, sold out arenas, and earned the prestigious 2023 BRIT Billion Award for surpassing one billion UK streams.
Across six Top 10 albums, James has built a catalogue of fan favourites and global hits, including ‘You’re Nobody ‘Til Somebody Loves You’, ‘Cars Outside’, and ‘Can I Be Him’.
James Arthur joins Billy Ocean, Pete Tong, David Gray and American vocal powerhouse Teddy Swims among the first headline announcements the 2026 summer season at Scarborough Open Air Theatre.
Julian Murray, of Scarborough OAT promoters Cuffe and Taylor, said: “James was such a popular headliner at Scarborough OAT in 2018 we just had to bring him back. His career has seen him excel in many genres and his fans absolutely adore him.
“His live shows are always unforgettable, packed with emotion, passion, incredible music, and that unmistakable voice that has captured fans worldwide. This will be another great night here on the Yorkshire coast.”
He also joins Shed Seven, Embrace, Ethel Cain, Billy Ocean, The K’s, Opeth and David Gray among the first headliners to be announced for The Piece Hall in 2026.
