A home in “arguably the best address in York” has just gone on the market.
No 6 The Purey Cust, right next to York Minster, is now up for sale with Savills for a guide price of £2,950,000.
According to the sales details, for that you get accommodation over five floors featuring:

The Purey Cust lodge dates back to 1845 on a site that was previously the Minster Stoneyard.
It was named after Canon Purey-Cust, the Dean of York. Popular with the people of York, they staged a benefit year for him when he retired.
Using the money, he set up a nursing home in the lodge in 1914. Just over 50 years later, in 1968, it became home to a private Nuffield Hospital.
When it moved out, the lodge was empty until Purey Cust sold it to a private developer in 2013, who converted it into nine homes.
“The property was purchased as a blank canvas and has undergone a full programme of renovation works and a stunning refurbishment, with great attention to detail and utilising the best materials and design,” say the Savills particulars.
Number 6 The Purey Cost was last sold in August 2011 for £1.21 million.
