Firefighters rescued a man after a fire in a house in Ripon early this morning (Saturday).
Crews from Ripon and Boroughbridge were called to North Road, Ripon at 4.51am.
The fire was on a bed in a house of multiple occupancy.

They put this out using fire extinguishers.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews carried out a thorough search of the premises and rescued one male from within.
“Crews then worked to ventilate using a mixtures of positive pressure ventilation fans and natural ventilation.”
