For two days, the two eateries will be cooking up a storm – serving 9 inch or 4.5 inch sub rolls filled with tender Yorkshire ribeye steak and topped with grilled peppers and onions, Monterey Jack cheese, and Cheese Whiz sauce.

The Philly Cheesesteak will be accompanied by a large selection of sauces and pickles, and Baby Boy’s Burgers sides such as house fries, animal fries and tater tots. Veggie options will also be available.

“My dream of having a street food outlet providing an authentic Philly Cheesesteak is in process of coming true,” said Matt, founder of Philly’s York.

After living in the US for several years, Matt discovered culinary delights in all different states – including in Philadelphia, home to the legendary cheesesteak.

Matt and Jack Jenner, founder of Baby Boy’s Burgers, first met four years ago when Jack was working as a chef and Matt was working for Deliveroo. They became friends and found they had many shared interests. Fast forward to now, when Matt shared his ideas for Philly’s with Jack, that the idea for a collaboration was born.

“We’ve been working together behind the scenes and I’m really excited to launch Philly’s York at Baby Boy’s Burgers,” said Matt.

“A huge thanks to Jack and his team for having me this Friday and Saturday, and the massive help in bringing my Philly Cheesesteak to the people of York.”

“It’s so great to have Matt in the kitchen with us doing this thing,” added Jack. “It’s a pleasure to be able to help him start his journey in the same way I started mine – this is an event you really can’t miss!”
