The pub has been owned by Laura and Shane Brandon since 2019. They said: “Having bought The Woodman five months before the first lockdown, and put our heart and soul into it for nearly six years, we now feel the time is right for a new challenge.
“We have been in the industry for many years, in both front of house and chef positions, and having worked for several breweries the dream was always to have our own pub.
“We achieved that dream six years ago, survived a pandemic and many difficult economic circumstances, and are grateful for every moment. The time has now come to explore new ventures.”
The traditional pub seats 75 and is known for its food serving classic pub meals as well as restaurant dishes.
It has a large beer garden which seats up to 100 with a children’s play area. Above the pub is a three-bedroom apartment providing on-site manager’s accommodation.
Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co is marketing The Woodman’s leasehold, with an asking price of £180,000. The lease runs till 2048.
