A York pub is giving away free pints for Oktoberfest

A York pub is pulling out all the biers and whistles to celebrate Oktoberfest this year.

The House of Trembling Madness on Lendal are marking Oktoberfest all month – and are the only pub in Yorkshire where you can try all six big Oktoberfest beers.

The celebrations will be kicking off on Wednesday 1 October with a special keg tapping ceremony, and they’re giving away the first 20 pints for free.

The traditional bier tapping ceremony will begin at 6pm.

Beers from all six of Munich’s legendary breweries will be available on draft and in steins for the entire month of October: Augustiner, Hacker-Pschorr, Hofbräu, Löwenbräu, Paulaner, and Spaten.

The pub will also be serving up Ludwig’s Wiener for Oktoberfest – a traditional German bratwurst with all the trimmings, and served with sauerkraut, crispy onions, and authentic German sauces.

So get ready to don your lederhosen and raise a stein at House of Trembling Madness this October.
