Toilets have landed in King’s Square – and they won’t cost a king’s ransom to use.
Four portable loos appeared in the famous York square on Wednesday (June 8).
They have been installed as a temporary measure while the nearby Silver Street conveniences are out of action.
Those facilities are closed to enable new gas meters to be installed.
The good news is that, while you have to pay 40p for each use of the Silver Street loos, the ones on King’s Square won’t cost you a penny.
