A York store is on the move – and it will celebrate its relocation with a big giveaway.
To be honest, The Food Warehouse at Clifton Moor isn’t going far – just next door in fact.
It’s moving to the former Smyths Toys store on Hurricane Way.
As YorkMix revealed, this is to make way for a new Lidl opening in Clifton Moor.
As our photos show, the Food Warehouse’s new store is currently being fitted out, ready for the relocation.

It will open to shoppers on Tuesday 16 September.
To celebrate the store opening, the company will be giving away £1,500 worth of The Food Warehouse vouchers to the first 150 customers in the queue.
And every customer in the queue before 7.30am will be given a raffle ticket to enter a free prize draw, with five lucky winners receiving the chance to take part in a supermarket sweep-style challenge.
Winners will have the entire store to themselves for 90 seconds and will get to fill their trolley with whatever they’d like.

Before the doors to the new store open at 7.45am, additional winners will also be drawn for seven single drawer tower air fryers.
There’s also one Daewoo Double Drawer Air Fryer up for grabs to the customer who correctly guesses how many sweets are in a jar.
There will also be one-off opening deals, including cut price packs of Yorkshire Tea Bags, Walkers crisps multipacks and Pepsi Max cans.

Kristian Barrett, group retail director at owners Iceland Foods, said: “We’re excited to be opening our new York, Clifton Moor store, bringing more market-leading deals and a brilliant range of frozen, grocery and fresh foods to locals.
“We’re hard at work getting everything set up and ready to go – we can’t wait to open our doors on 16 September.”
The new store will be open from 8am – 8pm, Monday to Saturday, and 10am – 4pm on Sundays.
