Burro Restaurant in Riccall has just been named as one of the top ‘hidden gems’ in the world.
It comes in at number 23 in that category of the TripAdvisor Best of the Best Awards 2025.
That puts the venue, based in the unique Old Riccall Mill, in a list with venue from Prague, Spain, Turkey, Brazil, Mexico and the United States.

TripAdvisor states: “You’ll find an extensive menu of contemporary Italian, from homemade pasta to prime steaks and fresh fish.
“The staff are friendly and attentive, and portions are generous. Try the ravioli, and don’t miss out on dessert!”
One recent diner said it was “better than any Italian restaurant we visited in Sorrento… This is a fantastic restaurant with gorgeous food, excellent value for money and great service.”

Three friends from Sardinia, Luca Oggiana, GianMatteo Saba and Francesco Chirigoni, with a wealth of hospitality experience between them, opened Burro in 2019.
