Emergency services were called to help a woman who was injured after a fall yesterday evening (Sunday).
The woman, aged 63, had fallen down cellar steps on Heworth Road. Firefighters and paramedics went to the incident at 5.12pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from York worked with ambulance staff to extricate the female and carry her to awaiting ambulance where she was transported to hospital for further treatment.”
