York Beer & Cider Festival 2025

The ever-popular York Beer & Cider Festival returns again to the spectacular surroundings of St Lawrence Parish Church – just near Walmgate Bar and the City Walls and within easy walking distance of the city centre. This festival, run by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), will have more beers and ciders than any other festival in Yorkshire with over 200 available plus wines, prosecco, meads and soft drinks, plus a great selection of food on site.

Saving Grace

Grab your prosecco, line up the voddy-crans and brace yourself – GK Barry is back bigger, bolder and wilder than ever! Having faced her fears in the I’m A Celeb! Jungle, Grace is ready to bring her smash-hit podcast to a city near you. Expect a night of unfiltered opinions, outrageous confessions, Grace’s signature banter and more. No topic is off-limits as Grace will be playing Agony Aunt, solving audience dilemmas and dishing out advice, and delivering the kind of honestly that made the podcast wildly popular. There’ll be Bushtucker Trials, specials guests, and some of the UK’s most iconic drag queens joining the party!

Future Tense: Art in the Age of Transformation

Running throughout the autumn and winter of 2025, Future Tense is an exhibition dedicated to celebrating contemporary artists, presented alongside the Aesthetica Art Prize throughout the ground floor of York Art Gallery. Contemporary artists Squidsoup and Liz West are set to exhibit a range of immersive works at York Art Gallery in this brand new exhibition.

Fairfax House by Candlelight

For this special event, step into the private world of the Hon. Ann Fairfax and experience her townhouse as she once knew it. As you wander through her beautifully furnished interiors by the flicker of candlelight, this is a chance to be fully immersed in Ann’s world.

This is a unique and atmospheric way to experience Fairfax House. Candlelit rooms, dressed for the season, are brought back to life with evocative sounds and scents.
