A driver had to be cut free from the wreckage of a vehicle after a crash today (Saturday).
Emergency crews were called to the A168 / A1 roundabout at Boroughbridge at 11.46am.
Firefighters from Ripon and Boroughbridge went to the scene.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews worked with cutting equipment to remove the door of the vehicle, allowing the driver trapped inside to self rescue and walk from the vehicle.
“Both driver and passenger taken to hospital via road ambulance for checks. Fire and rescue crews also carried out scene safety. The incident was left with police.”
