Police are investigating after a suspected stolen car was abandoned and torched in a quiet village.
Firefighters were called to the incident at West Lutton near Malton at 1.18am today (Wednesday).
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from Malton responded to reports of a car well alight and abandoned.

“The car fire was extinguished using one hose reel jet, one breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera.
“The police were informed due to a suspected stolen vehicle.”
