North Yorkshire Police have reported that a man from Selby has been arrested after a number of appeals to find him.
29 year-old James Sebastion Thomas, from Selby, failed to appear at York Crown Court in 2019, after being found guilty of assault.
A warrant was issued for his arrest at the time and extensive enquiries have been ongoing to locate him ever since.
He is now in police custody.
