Police searching for two people after Union flag bunting ripped from York pub

Police are trying to trace the pair as part of a criminal damage investigation.

It follows Union flag bunting being pulled down from the side of The Victoria Hotel on Heslington Road in York.

It happened on Saturday (13 September) between about 3am and 5.30am.

The bunting had been put up for the Women’s Rugby World Cup.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Please contact us if you recognise the people pictured on CCTV, as they may have information that will assist our investigation.”
