Police have appealed for the public’s help after what they described as a “distressing incident” near York Minster.
It happened at about 12.40am on Sunday 27 July on Duncombe Place.
The victim was approached and distracted by two men who then stole his high-value watch and wallet.

They made off on foot towards High Petergate, then spilt up. One ran behind the Minster and the other towards Stonegate.
Both males are described as about 20 years old with black hair.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating two individuals believed to be connected to this crime.
“We are appealing to anyone who was in the area that night or is able to recognise any of the males in the picture attached to contact us and assist in the investigation.
“This was a distressing incident, and we decided to share it across our force raising awareness.”
