Emergency services were called to a fire in Acomb last night (Monday).
Firefighters from Acomb went to a commercial bin which was alight near The Green at 10.21pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The fire was extinguished using one hose reel jet.
The Green, Acomb
“The cause was deliberate and the police were also on scene.”
