A person was rescued from the river in York in the early hours of today (New Year’s Day).
York Rescue Boat said they were called out to the River Ouse at 2am.
They said: “Our first call out of 2025 from North Yorkshire Police with a person reported in the river Ouse.
“Crew mobilised and stood down on scene as casualty was rescued from the water.”
