Next has revealed when it will open its large new York store.
As YorkMix reported, the fashion favourite is moving from Coney Street to the vacant corner unit in the Coppergate Centre.
The refit is well underway – and it will be open in plenty of time for Christmas shoppers.
Signs on the window of the new store declare a November opening. But that has now slipped back slightly.
A spokesperson for Next told YorkMix: “We can confirm that the new Next York store will open on Tuesday 2nd December.
“We can share further details closer to opening date.”
It is leaving Coney Street ahead of its major regeneration.
Under the Helmsley Group plans, the art deco building would stay, but the ground floor shops would be remodelled. The upper floors would be converted to student accommodation.
