A new store has opened at Clifton Moor in York – with the first shopper in the queue at 6am.
Altogether, 73 people queued up for the Food Warehouse opening yesterday (Tuesday).
The store has moved next door, into the former Smyths Toys store on Hurricane Way.
To celebrate the grand opening the Clifton Moor store gave away £1,500 worth of store vouchers to the first 150 shoppers.
Raffle tickets were given to each person in the queue before 7.45am, with a seven shoppers winning an air fryer.

Five other lucky customers won the chance to take part in a 90 second supermarket sweep-style trolley dash around the entire empty store, filling their trolleys for free.
Kristian Barrett, group retail director at Food Warehouse owner Iceland Foods, said: “We’re thrilled to have opened our new York Clifton Moor store, ensuring even more local residents can enjoy amazing deals, alongside a brilliant range of frozen, grocery and fresh foods.”

The store will be open from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
