Staff in a York shop were threatened by a masked robber in a raid last night (Monday).
It happened at around 8.15pm. A man in a balaclava entered the Morrisons Daily store on Moorcroft Road in Woodthorpe.
He threatened the staff and ordered them to open the tills.

He then stole some cash from the tills and ran off from the store.
No one was injured.


A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Extensive enquiries are ongoing to identify the suspect including examination of CCTV in the area.
“Anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident is asked to get in touch along with anyone who has doorbell video or private CCTV footage that may have captured the suspect as he ran off from the store.”
