Police have acted after a passenger was seen with weapons on a train at York Station.
British Transport Police boarded a Northern service as it arrived in York.
They had been alerted to a man seen with weapons by LNER staff on the train.
Assisted by North Yorkshire Police, officers arrested a man from Leeds.
A ball bearing gun and knives were seized. British Transport Police tweeted: “Your safety is our priority.”
