Emergency services called to crash between Mercedes and Audi

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to a two-car crash in a North Yorkshire village last night (Tuesday).

It happened at the junction of Weeland Road and Hazel Old Lane in Hensall, south of Selby.

Two Selby fire crews went to the collision between a Mercedes and an Audi at 6.25pm.

The road was closed while emergency services were in attendance.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “On arrival, crews confirmed three occupants of the Mercedes were out on arrival with no injuries.

“A 30-year-old female driver of the Audi was walked from the vehicle by paramedics.

“Crews made the vehicles and scene safe using lighting and small tools.”
