A road in York city centre has been closed by emergency roadworks.
Goodramgate in York is closed in both directions outside the Wagamama restaurant.
It was shut today by Yorkshire Water so they could undertake emergency repairs.
A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said: “We’ve had to close Goodramgate in York at short notice as we need to urgently repair our sewer that’s under the road.
“Our team are busy doing the repair overnight so we can get the road back open tomorrow. We’re really sorry about this, but it’s urgent work that we need to get done.”
Diversions have been put in place.
