A crash closed part of the A64 near York this afternoon (Thursday).
It happened at Barton Hill between York and Malton at about 1.25pm. The westbound carriageway was shut.
The road has now reopened.
Earlier, North Yorkshire Police said the road was shut “due to a collision involving two vehicles and is to allow the occupants to be treated by ambulance staff, and the scene to be cleared.

“We’re working hard to get it open again as soon as possible.”
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from Huntington and Scarborough responded to report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision.
“Crews extricated one person from their vehicle using spreaders. The rest of the vehicle occupants were out on arrival.
“Crews made the vehicles safe and assisted police with scene safety.”
