A man has suffered serious injuries after falling from a bridge in Scarborough.
Police were called to people’s concern for the safety of the man on Spa Bridge at about 11.35am.
He was taken to hospital after the fall.
Police had cordoned off an area of South Beach. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance landed on the sands.
Roads around the area were also closed. These were later reopened.
