‘Campaign of abuse’ fear after buskers targeted in town centre

Police fear a ‘campaign of abuse’ is being directed against street entertainers in one North Yorkshire town.

A woman shouted abuse at two buskers at around 1pm on Sunday, 27 October, on Northallerton High Street at its junction with Zetland Street.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The victims were not injured. However police are concerned that this behaviour may be part of a wider pattern or campaign of abuse.”
