It opens more than a year after the fire that gutted the restaurant on 9 July 2021.

The restaurant includes a new dining area, front counter and five digital ordering kiosks.

There’s also two new ‘freestyle’ drinks machines, offering a large range of flavours to choose from.

The re-opening of the restaurant is by franchisee Karali Ltd. Managing director Salim Janmohamed said: “We are thrilled to be reopening the Burger King branch in York and welcoming customers again.

“We know they love the great-tasting food of Burger King, so we are very excited to bring back all their favourites.”
