Thieves wielding blow torches have been targeting homes in York.
Police are investigating three burglary attempts in Acomb overnight between Tuesday 4 January and Wednesday 5 January.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Offenders used blow torches to break door locks, in what we believe to be to steal car keys for vehicles parked on driveways.
“We are appealing for help to identify the suspects and for any information or CCTV footage that could assist our investigation.”
The incidents took place in the early hours on Ashbourne Way, Spey Bank and Bellhouse Way.
