Emergency services were called to a crash on the A59 this lunchtime (Saturday).
A motorcycle and a car collided on the A59 near Hessay at around 12.30pm.
The road was blocked for a time while the police and ambulance crews worked at the scene.
It caused long traffic delays. The road has since been reopened but traffic was still slow moving at 3.30pm.
We have no word yet as to any casualties, although there were reports of the air ambulance being called out.
