Two 16-year-old boys have been arrested following a moped theft in York.
Just after midnight on Monday 15 September, police received a report that the moped had been stolen from Nunnery Lane car park.
Officers were sent to the scene and the moped was recovered close by.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Two 16-year-old males were located nearby and subsequently arrested for theft of a motor vehicle.
“Further evidence was located following a search of one of the males and he was further arrested for going equipped for theft.
“Both suspects were questioned and released on conditional bail whilst our enquiries continue.”
