Fire crews tackled a large waste fire at a scrapyard last night (Friday).
Tadcaster and Selby firefighters were called to the incident in Sherburn In Elmet at 6.08pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “On arrival crews located a large waste fire that had spread to an adjoining structure.
“Crews used four breathing apparatus and three hose reel jets to extinguish and dampen down.
“Crews will be revisiting this incident during daylight for further inspection.”
