Snow causes poor driving conditions in parts of North Yorkshire

Snow is causing problems in some parts of North Yorkshire today.

Much of the county is unaffected – there has been one minor flurry in York this morning – but it’s come down more heavily in the Yorkshire Dales.

North Yorkshire Police said today: “Areas of North Yorkshire are currently experiencing snow fall. Roads are becoming covered and slippery.

“Please slow down and drive to the conditions. Allow extra travel time for your journey.”

The police mentioned the A6068 in Craven as one route affected.

Heavy snow showers are forecasted in these areas until about 2pm
