Emergency services have been called to a serious crash on the A64 in York this afternoon (Tuesday).
The collision is at Stockton on the Forest.
North Yorkshire Police said: “The road is currently closed in both directions at the Towthorpe crossroads.

“Motorists should avoid the area and find an alternative route.”
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance has gone to the scene and landed close to the junction.
National Highways Yorkshire said: “The A64 in North Yorkshire is closed in both directions between the A1237 near York and the A169 near Malton due to a serious collision.
“North Yorkshire emergency services are in attendance.”
They estimated the road would be reopened by about 6.30pm.
There are long tailbacks in both directions on the A64 and on Towthorpe Moor Lane.
