That’s right, the Selby, Tadcaster, and Sherburn-in-Elmet Restaurant Week is returning for its second year after a successful inaugural launch last year.
Restaurants, cafes, tea rooms and pubs across Selby, Tadcaster and Sherburn-in-Elmet will be offering set-price dining for £10, £15, £20, £25, or £30 from Monday 6 to Sunday 12 October.
The campaign offers the food and hospitality industry the chance to celebrate their menus, attract new customers and create regular repeat visits.
It’s a perfect opportunity to try somewhere new or revisit an old favourite with friends and family this autumn, without breaking the bank.
North Yorkshire Council’s executive member for open to business, Cllr Mark Crane, who is the elected member for Brayton and Barlow, near Selby, said: “North Yorkshire is renowned for its excellent food and drink, and we want to showcase the best of what the Selby and Harrogate areas have to offer.
“The week of offers is held during what is normally a quieter time of the year to encourage footfall into our hospitality businesses and I would encourage the restaurants, cafes and tearooms from across the area to get involved.”
Visit North Yorkshire, North Yorkshire Council’s destination marketing and management service, organises Restaurant Week, with Selby and Harrogate previously taking part and Whitby joining the ranks earlier this year.
Graham Usher, the managing director of The Drovers Arms restaurant and country pub in Skipwith, near Selby, said: “There is such an amazing choice of restaurants and eateries in the local vicinity, and this is a great opportunity to bring them all together and showcase for a week to residents and visitors what is available.
“At The Drovers Arms, we will be showcasing the wonderful produce that is available to us locally with a great value fixed price menu for lunch and dinner.”
