Police investigating the spate of racially offensive graffiti in York are appealing for the public’s help.
YorkMix has reported a series of incidents over the last few weeks.
The most recent include daubings at Chesney Fields park and on Foxwood Lane.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Several incidents involving racially-offensive phrases have been reported – including at Foxwood Lane, Hob Moor and Chesney Fields – over the past few days.
“Enquiries are ongoing into this suspected hate-related criminal damage, including if there are any connections with a similar incident at a nearby takeaway restaurant on 29 August.
“We’d like to hear from anyone with information, including anyone who captured the incidents on CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage.”
