Pictures: Heavy snow flurries fall on York – and there may be more to come

York experienced heavy snow showers this morning (Wednesday) – and there may be more to come.

The snow came down across the city before coming to a halt again at lunchtime. Snow was also reported in Selby and elsewhere across North Yorkshire.

It has given a light dusting to buildings and parks, but has not settled on busy pavements and there is no weather disruption on roads.

Temperatures are due to drop to -1˚C tonight, with a maximum of 4˚C tomorrow. The lowest temperature of the week is set to be on Friday night at -4˚C.
