Police want to talk to her as part of their investigation into the theft of a 91-year-old woman’s handbag.
It happened just before 1pm on Thursday 15 May at Tesco, Clifton Moor.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The 91-year-old victim had her handbag stolen from within her trolley.
“The black leather handbag with a shoulder strap contained several personal items of the victim.
“From CCTV footage, it appears the suspect has also tried to pickpocket other shoppers in the store at the same time who may have information that can help.
“Clothing could hold the key to identifying the masked suspect.
“Please contact us if you recognise the woman pictured on CCTV, particularly from her clothing, as she may have information that will assist our investigation.”
